Everything you need to know
Short answers to the most common BagiBon questions. If you’re still unsure, you can always explore the app or reach out.
1. What is BagiBon and who is it for?
BagiBon is a tiny helper app for splitting restaurant and café receipts fairly. It’s for anyone who eats out with others and wants the math handled for them.
2. How does BagiBon turn a receipt into a bill to share?
You scan a paper or digital receipt and BagiBon turns it into a neat list of items. You then invite friends, they tap what they ordered, and the app calculates what each person owes.
3. Do my friends need the BagiBon app to join a bill?
No. When you create a session, BagiBon gives you a share link or QR code that friends open in their browser to pick items — no app install or account needed.
4. What happens if BagiBon misreads part of my receipt?
If something looks off, you can quickly edit item names and amounts before sharing. Fixing a few lines keeps the split matching the printed receipt.
5. How does BagiBon handle shared items, service charge, and tax?
You can mark items as shared or individual. Things like service, tax, and shared dishes are split fairly across everyone automatically.
6. Is BagiBon free to use? Are there any hidden fees?
The core BagiBon experience is free. If we ever add paid extras, they’ll be clearly labeled and won’t change how much you actually send between friends.
7. Which payment methods can I use to settle up?
BagiBon only handles the math. You still pay using your usual wallet or banking app — bank transfers, e‑wallets, or QR payments all work.
8. Does BagiBon work only in one country or currency?
Today BagiBon is tuned for Indonesian‑style receipts, but the logic is mostly currency‑agnostic. If items and totals are readable, you can usually still use it and pay in your local currency.
9. How many people can join a single BagiBon session?
BagiBon works best for small to medium‑sized groups like dinners, office lunches, or family outings. Very long receipts or huge groups may feel slower on smaller phones.
10. What does BagiBon store about my receipts and sessions?
We store only the minimal data needed for each session: items, who claimed them, and totals. We never see your banking credentials and we don’t move money for you.
11. How do I report a bug or suggest a feature?
Use the links in the homepage footer (GitHub, Linktree, or the studio website) to reach us. A short description plus screenshots and your device info is perfect.
